I feel fuzzy, but
in an uncomfortable way.
A way that feels unlike
the top of my puppy’s head,
unlike the caterpillars
squirming out of my
calloused seven-year-old hands.
Unlike the teddy bear
still on my bed.
Definitely unlike
pancakes that are
golden-browned,
nothing like the penguin socks my
feet are clad in year-round…
